Head of the Direction Professor Nodar Amashukeli, Professor Nana Kutateladze Architecture is the art of designing and building, and the architects are professionals realising architectural projects and creating housing space, producing building designs and supervising design and construction work. They are expected to be knowledgeable not only in the specialised disciplines, such as architectural planning, urban planning, landscape architecture, history of architecture and constructions, but also in related fields, such as mathematics, physics, mechanics, construction, drawing geometry, drawing, painting, etc.
Architecture is a form of creative activity that produces aesthetic environment and provides its functional zoning: it brings together engineering and scientific fields and fine art. The Direction seeks to equip students with theoretical and practical knowledge to enable them meet the contemporary challenges in architecture.
