Those interested in continuing to study the Doctoral Program in the Faculty of Media art of the TSAA should have a Master degree diploma or equivalent qualification; Student should submit an abstract on relevant scientific topic; The appropriateness and relevance of the research topic should be agreed with the supervisor; The written consent of the Program supervisor shall be submitted; Must submit a letter of recommendation of the Scientific Head; Must present the certificate of the English language B2 level or should pass the test organized by the TSAA (If the level of study has passed in foreign languages abroad students are exempting from additional documents). Annotation: Scientific research and creation of new knowledge in this sphere is one of the priorities of Tbilisi Apolon Kutateladze State Academy of Arts. The digital and geometric modeling PhD program aims at modernizing traditional methodology of teaching in Geometric Modeling and modernization and synchronization in accordance with modern requirements, which is the most important component of the scientific development of the media art field. The goal of the Doctoral Program is to bring up a modern researcher in the fields of media art, whose knowledge is based on the synthesis of modern technologies capabilities and traditional disciplines and preparing for the pedagogical work at the higher education institution.
PhD Program Structure: The PhD program consists of learning and scientific-study components. It is directed towards the acquisition of the skills of personal work experience based on the individualization of the choice and learning process within the specific educational program. Between them:
- Learning component - 50 ECTS, which includes mandatory learning courses and seminars.
- Research Component - 130 ECTS, comprising two colloquiums, fulfillment of research (qualification) work and its defence / public presentation.

Elective Interdisciplinary Seminar - 5 ECTS Interdisciplinary Seminar topic is selected by agreement with the supervisor, Taking into consideration the issues related to the study topic from the programs on the faculty of media arts and restoration, art history and faculty of theory of the TSA Academy.
- Geometric transformations;
- Basics of design work on cultural heritage sites - research and legislation;
- Modern digital technology trends on base of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign;
- Modern digital technologies trends on based of 3D MAX, Auto CAD, Maya, ZBrush;
- Cultural research methods;
- Foreign language.
