Nodar Amashukeli is the Full Professor of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, since 2005 the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture. From 1990 he conducts scientific-educational work in the Academy of Arts, where in 1996 he was promoted to assistant professor and in 2003 awarded academic degree of professor. In 1997 he was elected as the Head of the Chair of Monumental-Decorative Arts. During different years he has been working as the chief architect of Tbilisi Krtsanisi district, in Designing Institute “Kurortproekt”, in Archaeological Research Center, in Mr. Zurab Tsereteli’s creative studio. Many of his architectural and design projects are implemented. NodarAmashukeli has received the State Award. His works and publications – “Problems of reconstruction and conservation of architectural monuments of Vani”, “Vani old settlement”, “Colchian and Phrygian houses”, “Synthesis of art in the context of Eastern and Western cultures” – are published by various Georgian and West European publishing houses. He has participated in many international symposiums, exhibitions and contests. In 2102 he was a curator of Venice 13th architectural biennale. Nodar Amashukeli is a member of board of the Union of Architects and a member of Union of Designers. He has illustrated explanatory dictionary of archaeological terminology and other books, as well as designed a performance and a feature film.
