The Faculty of Visual Arts is basic for the Academy of Arts. Its teaching programs and developing methodology is the basis of modern Georgian visual and cultural processes and achievements.
The studios of faculties and their directions reflect the traditional and the latest trends of contemporary visual art. The studies are carried out in several directions. First of all, students learn the general basics of visual arts, and afterwards orientations of their interests are defined
according to the specialties offered by the faculties, in compliance with Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs.
Specialized studios operate at the Faculty: theater and cinema-TV arts, book design and advertising graphics, animation, as well as studios where studies are conducted according to individual programs of professors.
The Faculty is divided into four teaching directions:
