Bureau Europe-project proposal

28 September, Visit of the Bureau Europe (https://www.bureau-europa.nl/en/ ) representatives -Vincent Thornhill, Guillemette Legrand, Saskia van Stein, to the Architecture Faculty, there was held a presentation of the project ‘The Architecture of Trust’ and, also negotiations on further cooperation.

Exhibition in Frankfurt

11 September, Exhibition of professor G. Gugushvilui (Rector of TSAA) and K. Matabeli in Frankfurt. The exhibition was organized by the Consulate of Georgia in Germany and Frankfurt. Special thanks to the Mr. S. Chkhikvishvili, General Consul of Georgia to Germany and the exhibition organizers.

Young artists and students festival in Dresden

The 6^th edition of the TSAA Annual project in collaboration with the ‘Palais Sommer - Dresden ’ and initiated/supported by the Dresden-based Georgian artist A. Adamia.
The joint exhibition of famous German artists (Babak Naibi and Rita Geisler) and Georgian students entitled ‘Culture/synchrony’ was opened on 2 August at the Japanese palace garden. The award ‘Canaletto Prize’ -1000 euro for the Public favorite Art-work was conferred to the work of the TSAA guest teacher at the Department of Drawing-Beqa Sakhvarelidze.

Project with University of Art in Belgrade

3 -8 November, 2018, basing on the agreement on cooperation between the TSAA and the University of Arts in Belgrade, the TSSA working group visit is planned to be held in two directions. First direction concerns cooperation in the academic staff and students educational exchange project and should comprise 3-days long workshops: ‘Visual codes of contemporary sculpture’, to be held on 5-6-7 November and leaded by Liza Epitashvili, teacher at the Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Fine art, and ‘Transformation’, to be leaded by Vakhtang Megrelishvili, professor of the Department of Graphics, Faculty of Fine art. The project comprises practicing and involves six students - G. Khosruashvili, G. Khorava, Z. Khatiashvili, T. Elashvili, A. Ninashvili, A. Zakariashvili from the departments of painting, sculpture, graphics. The second direction concerns the joint exhibition of professors (D.Alexidze, V. Megrelishvili, and L. Epitashvili) and students (G. Khosruashvili, G. Khorava, Z. Khatiashvili, T. Elashvili, A. Ninashvili, and A. Zakariashvili), entitled ‘The step in the structure’, and curated by Alexandra Gabunia. The idea is to present one story in fragments. It is an attempt to penetrate in an invisible space, where individualism is the main reality, and the facts change its external and internal structure. Flat, shiny, dark, hard or brittle materials allow us to work in different formats and moving in the structure and versatile. „Step in the structure“- is the main point of our exhibition.
